The vision for Cornerstone Books goes back over 50 years ago in the small sweet shop in Whitworth Road. When Brian Cossins parents retired, Brian caught a vision for a Christian presence right in the heart of the town centre which soon became Cornerstone Books.

Thirty years on and the vision remains the same, to be a Christian presence in Gosport town centre, supporting the local church through the provision of Christian resources and materials.

The challenge, as always, is to hold the tension between business and ministry, while seeking to compete with the ever-increasing competition from the big internet bookshops.
