Over the last year we have been able to begin to build a local network of churches who provide their congregations with bookstalls that we supply. It is a very simple way of encouraging the local church attendees to read good Christian books and listen to inspiring Christian music. How does it work?
The Church's Responsibilities:
1. The Church needs to find one or two people who will take responsibility to look after the bookstall, liaise with the shop, and ensure that all monies are collected.
2. The Church is responsible for the stock being kept safe and in good condition. The Church will be liable for all lost and damaged items.
3. The Church will be responsible for returning unsold stock within a reasonable and agreed time frame, and for collecting any sale-or-return stock or ordered items.
The Shop's Responsibilities:
1. The Shop will give the Church a 10% discount on all items sold. This will help to cover lost or damaged goods, and also provide a small return for the Church.
2. The Shop will liaise with the bookstall staff concerning what stock to carry, and will ensure that all orders are fulfilled as quickly as possible.
3. Where possible and beneficial the Shop will provide promotional and publicity material to support the display of stock.
4. The Shop will add a link to the Church website if requested, and is happy to promote special events on our own website.
If you would like to discuss the possibility of running a bookstall in your church, please feel free to contact Paul, our manager, via the "Contact Us" page.
